The Market Area

According to the latest Pew Statistical Portrait of Hispanics in the United States (2006), the 2000 Hispanic population in Washington, DC grew 5.5 percent to 46,500; in Virginia, 39.6 percent to 465,545; and, in Maryland, 47.7 percent to 341,261. [1]  Pew also states that 86.6 percent of the foreign-born Hispanics 18 years and older fall under the category “English spoken less than very well.”[2]

 With this growing population interacting in an English-speaking environment, the need for translation and interpretation services is critical.  OGS Translations and Interpretations has provided Spanish-English services to health providers and their patients, attorneys and their clients, private enterprise, the court system, law enforcement, prison systems, and civil society, to include voice-over services to public television.
